Skills Development Workshop Tour 2017: updated

The Skills Development Workshops Tour will commence in the region on Wednesday 26 April (following ANZAC Day), and finish on Wednesday 31 May.

Yes! Our Artistic Director Michelle Leonard OAM will be touring the region to listen to over 3,000 children, running 47 workshops in 52 towns, with students from 96 schools invited to join in.

This year, teacher participation in the workshops will form part of the BOSTES accreditation through the NSW Department of Education. 
Orff Schulwerk Association through the Professional Teachers’ Council NSW- NSW Education Standards  Authority (NESA) as the endorsed provider of QTC Registered professional development for the maintenance of accreditation at Proficient, Highly Accomplished, and Lead levels. 
Completing the Moorambilla Skills Development Workshops will contribute 2 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.

Our Artistic Director Michelle Leonard OAM will listen to over 3,000 children in Skills Development Workshops for all students from Year 3 to Year 11. Student participation in the workshops is FREE to all schools.

The children experience:

  • choral singing and repertoire
  • music theory and sight-singing
  • drumming and percussion
  • movement
